I mean, I think about it... all the time, but... (OK I watched it for the 100th time!)

My parents keep asking how school was. It's like saying, "How was that drive-by shooting?" You don't care how it *was*, you're lucky to get out alive.

It had become the focus of everything. It was all I could feel, all I could think about. It blotted out the rest of my face, the rest of my life. Like the zit had become... the truth about me.

If only there were a button somewhere that I could push. To force me to stop talking.

They weren't the kind of kisses you could actually evaluate. They were more like... introductory kisses.

This life has been a test. If this had been an actual life, you would have received instructions on where to go and what to do.

People are always saying you should be yourself, like yourself is this definite thing, like a toaster. Like you know what it is even. But every so often I'll have, like, a moment, where just being myself in my life right where I am is, like, enough.

When someone compliments your parents, there's like nothing to say. It's like a stun gun to your brain.

I'm totally over Jordon Catalano.

Angela. I would have to disagree with you there! JC=dreamboat.  You WILL never be over him.

I Tried Twi-hard, I Tried. New Moon was worse....(I know I am hated by millions now!)

Watched Twilight, watched New Moon. Buffy still reigns supreme. Got this on a tee....

Now officially on the UK's most wanted list. Dammit.

I have TWO pieces of advice....

Firstly, wear sunscreen! I know this is a few years old, but I stumbled across it again today. I swear watching this 5 minute film is the equivalent of years on the psychiatrists couch (well I presume.)

Secondly, read this! I have just about finished the series and I absolutely heart it. I promise. Even if you think you are not a comic book fan. For all you movie buffs - it will be hitting the silver screen in August, starring the adorable Michael Cera. Alas, August feels years away.....

Amanda has a Minge Tattoo and Doesn't Regret it. Shucks.

Zooey Deschanel. Stole. My. Heart. GIRL CRUSH#3

So I have had a love affair with Zooey Deschanel for about two years now. Before I discovered her band She & Him, she had captured my heart through her acting. Right now she trumps all previous girl crushes. Not only because of her style, but her kooky indie style, 70's folk inspired songs and sheer vulnerable girliness yet vixen style. Her shaggy brown fringe and hypnotizing blue eyes makes her irresistable.

I have never seen a girl on screen with such quirkiness, unleash such heartbreak on boys. I so admire her for such things. I was once like this, and then one rotten apple peeled it away. Feeling back to my Zooey espque state, I feel tip top, and look up to this strong female that makes kooky and geeky the epitome of sexy. What it should be.
I had seen a few of her movies, hence decided to order the back log of amazon to catch up on a lazy Sunday. The first I watched, was ‘All the Real Girls’, made in 2003. Again Zooey was on form with faultless acting, resounding looks, flawless ‘indie’ style, and on true form in the film, she left strong grown men powerless to her seduction - at only 16.
I recommend this film for any Deschanel fan. Although, the story line can be slow and predictable in diminutive areas, Deschanel is raw, emotive and definitely on form. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to finish the ZD marathon.

Also last year she married Ben Gibbard – my hero singer and songwriter. What a perfect couple. Just wish I could have seen the wedding photos, but good on you Zooey for not selling out! I’ll leave you with one of my favourite Death Cab for Cutie songs, and say tara for now!

OH!

Got my ticket....

I Heart Etsy

I have been a busy Betty of late and havent had anytime to update my blog - must be better from now on. I have have lots of exciting things to write about, so when I have more time I will overwhelm you will useless information about parties, designers, restaurants, the theatre and other shennanigans. I promise to update more. For now these are my recent items I have purchased of etsy. The independent website for all those crafters out there.

These beautiful tattoo inspired prints from Made by Lauren B

This suitacse is amazing. Its an 80's vintage Minnie Mouse - how perfect for a weekend in Sweden!

I already have a cover similar to this but this definately trumps it! She makes loads of amazing ones but they ain't cheap. Eeeeek. Check out My Sprinkle Factory.

When I grow up (OAP) I want to be a Juicy model!

Shotgun the one on the far right. Betty White you are super cool but eat your heart out!

It's a Family Affair.

Talking about weddings, I have been feeling ever so romantic and strangely ever so broody recently. Oh no. Calm down though, I am only 24 and don’t plan on doing anything concrete for many years yet. Anyway today I was asked by my friend who is getting married what I would choose to do. She was, well let’s say shocked when I said I pretty much had everything planned already. Thought it was normal for a girl to dream about their wedding day and want it exactly right. Alas, I ended up feeling like Muriel from Muriel’s wedding. A freak that had planned the engagement and wedding before her boyfriend even knew about it.

I will indulge you. I want to be proposed to in a corn field, with this amazing Christian Dior ring. Also it costs less than £600 so no excuses to get it right.

Then I want a Chapel wedding in the Countryside. I have planned the music and everything. Weirdo! Also I super duper want this vintage Emma Domb satin dress. Oh my, its stunning.

Well I will have to wait a few years (or not) for this. Until then I will have great fun celebrating all of the upcoming weddings - as a drunken guest.

p.s I have practised the perfect wedding kiss. ABSOLUTE CRINGE!

I heart Emily Haines.

Can't wait to see her this month. I haven't seen Metric for about two years and I love love love her. One of the songs of the new album is also a possible first wedding dance song. When I get married or course.

Cornwall has talent - the weekend I won the hearts of St Ives folk.

Cornwall was so beautiful. Admittedly the road trip from London took a fair few hours, but it was well worth it. I felt Zenned out to the max. Amazing scenery, amazing restaurants and well...amazing people that had to endure my signing and dancing. Did win a bottle of bubbly because of it but, hush hush, im not bragging.
